Oil painting Intraverse 4 – Magdalena Dziejma
The oil painting “Intraverse 4” is a painting about the power of a woman’s inner world – about an energy that is born within and spills outwards like a wave. At the centre of the composition is a woman whose body and movement form a coherent whole with the swirling background around her. Abstract forms and warm colours symbolise the emotions, thoughts and memories that swirl around her while also being part of who she is.
The title combines two words: intra – “inside” – and universum – “universe”. This is how a series of paintings about introspection, emotion and silence – the things that build a woman’s universe – came into being. The woman at the heart of the work seems to dance with the energy surrounding her – though her movement is gentle, it is full of power.
The colour palette is intense and sensual, while the combination of white, red, grey and shades of pink creates a dialogue of colours that is dramatic yet perfectly balanced. As a result, the woman seems to be not only part of the painting but its source – the centre of all the movement. Her figure brings calm, while the colours around her speak of the power of inner transformation.
“Intraverse 4” is more than a portrait of a woman – it is the story of a journey deep into oneself. Because only there, in silence and stillness, can you find the light that leads you on. The painting is full of symbols – movement stands for life, red for energy, and white for purity of thought. Although the whole is dynamic in character, it radiates calm and balance.
The painting brings depth and reflection into an interior. It pairs wonderfully with light walls, natural materials and soft lighting. It is a work that draws the eye and invites you to pause for a moment.
