Targi i Forum Sztuki 2025 (Art Fair and Forum) – an inspiring event in Białystok
Targi i Forum Sztuki 2025 (Art Fair and Forum 2025) gathered artists from all over Poland in Białystok, creating a unique space for presenting work and exchanging experience. It was an event that combined an art exhibition, a discussion forum and meetings with artists.
Last weekend (10-12 October 2025) saw the first Art Fair and Forum 2025 in Białystok. It was a special event that, for the first time, brought together so many artists and art lovers in our region.
It took place in the hall of the Faculty of Architecture at Białystok University of Technology, as it is an ideal space for presenting contemporary works of art.
The event was organised by the Marchand Foundation, that is Janusz Żabiuk and Ewelina Godlewska. They have been supporting the development of art in Podlasie with tremendous passion for years. Thanks to them, Białystok now has an art fair of a truly high standard. The event featured more than 50 exhibitors from all over Poland – painters, printmakers, illustrators, ceramicists, textile artists, photographers and designers. The variety of styles meant that everyone could find something that moved them.
The fair was combined with the Art Forum, which featured meetings, discussions and short talks on the art market, the work of an artist, promoting one’s work and the challenges facing culture today. It was a great opportunity to hear from art practitioners and theorists, and to see what artistic work looks like “behind the scenes”.
Art Fair and Forum 2025. I was there in person – this time as a visitor. I met artists I know who were exhibiting and was able to chat with them for a while about their work and their impressions of the fair. The whole event was very inspiring and showed just how much potential the Białystok art scene has.
