The acrylic painting “Intraverse 3” is a story about immersing yourself in yourself – in thoughts, emotions and the silence that gives rise to understanding. The woman at the centre of the painting is like a source of energy around which everything pulses and swirls. Her body takes on a delicate, protective pose, yet she seems to be part of the powerful movement that surrounds her. It is this combination of strength and fragility that defines a woman’s inner world.

The title “Intraverse” comes from combining the words intra – “inside” – and universum – “universe”. In this way a new space emerges – a symbol of a woman’s inner world, full of emotions, thoughts and memories. In this world, the woman is not only an observer but also the creator of her own reality. That is exactly why the central figure is both calm and full of tension – suspended between what is within and what is intangible.

Dynamic brushstrokes create a spiralling movement that draws the eye to the centre of the composition. As a result, the viewer has the impression of being drawn into the painting – into the very heart of a woman’s universe. The contrast of warm shades of orange and yellow with cool greys and white builds tension while also bringing harmony. Although the colours are intense, they do not dominate; instead, they work together, creating a space full of balance. The light spreading around the figure symbolises awareness – a flash of understanding that appears when a woman meets herself.

I love painting women, because their inner world is an endless source of inspiration. “Intraverse 3” is part of a series about the female experience – about the strength that is born of introspection. Although the painting takes an abstract form, its message is deeply personal. That is exactly why it carries us into a space of emotion where silence has its own depth and light has meaning.

This painting brings calm and reflection into an interior, while drawing attention with its rhythm and colour. It pairs wonderfully with light walls, wood and natural fabrics. It brings balance, energy and delicacy – the three elements that make up a woman’s universe.
